Excellent place to eat..!

“I am gluten intolerant. I was so surprised by how the lady that took my order was so patient with me going on and on about how badly I react. She made sure there was no spice on my food, only herbs, no thickened sauces etc. I had ribs, chicken wings and veggies. I also brought the gluten-free bread and had green juice! I had no reaction what so ever. Thank you so much guys, you know what you are doing. Thank you!”

Scrumptious Sagewood

“We finally visited Sagewood again after the regulations opened up. We were fulfilled beyond expectation and this café has really grown to another level. The standards, quality, flavour, wholesomeness, and service (felt “through” the masks) are impeccable. We had the ribeye and beef fillet with a delicious mushroom sauce and mash, absolute perfection!! All I can say is this is the place to be in PMB! So impressed. Thank you so much.”

Excellent food and friendly, efficient service

“Great spot to get wonderful food in Pietermaritzburg especially if you are looking for something other than a chain of takeaways. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Wide range of healthy food options, which are delicious (never eaten something I didn’t enjoy @ Sagewood). WiFi available too.”

Hidden Gem

“Good intentions of only having a coffee quickly dissolved when confronted by the super waitress, Hannah – both attentive and most charming – with the menu and daily specials who suggested that a light snack would not go amiss. Daily special (Apple Crumble) duly chosen – and the presentation was both a delight to look at and a greater delight to devour. Mother tried the pulled pork that came with a mountainous salad/coleslaw and pronunced herself well satisfied. A pleasant interlude, greatly enjoyed and certainly to be repeated.”
